I am trying to use 11 HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors at once, because I need accurate readings in many different areas. However, once I plug in more than 3 or 4, the sensors start reading slower, and one sometimes reads -1. I have tried both with an Arduino Due and Mega. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

sounds like a limitation of the sensors themselves.
that's a lot of sensors, why do you need to have 11, if i may ask.

I am doing a high school project, which is a "smart umpire", so we are basically making an electronic umpire, which needs to be highly accurate. Would you know of any other ways to measure distance above and distance wide efficiently over a home plate? Thank you for your help. Also, would PING))) sensors work any differently?

i'm assuming that's for baseball ? i don't know the rules exactly, but perhaps a touch sensor under the home plate is more appropriate ?
are you trying to measure AROUND the sides of the home plate ? do you have a rough sketch (pictorial) of how the sensors are being placed to do their measurements/ranging ?
i believe PING))) sensors are the same thing, these are sensors that measure distance based on sonic echos, like a bat does it.
