VGA monitor with VGAX library text is vibrating

I have a project where i want to right text to a VGA screen from a keyboard .
I am using an Arduino Uno and connected a VGA display.
I tried different setups with the VGA library

I am trying to get this one to work,

I got it work and it displays the text, but the text vibrates.

using the bitfont example and I got ti to work.

How come the first example the text vibrates? How can i fix it.
Also I didn't use resistors for the connections to the Uno because I didn't have the right values and various examples have them connected without resistors. Could this be the cause?

I would like to use the first example so that I can make the text smaller / higher definition text. I also would to change the

try adding this to the loop in first code posted, see if it stops..
