Hi.
I'm spouse to develop an optical communication system, which converts data into a light signal using high power LEDs. For that, I need to design a "black box" which receives data from some kind of sensor (video camera for instance) as an input and converts the data into a serial stream of bits which will control the LED's state ('0'- off, '1' - on).
Is the Adriano even relevant for this kind of tasks?
If so, how could it be done? And what's the maximum data rate achievable using the Adriano?
I meant Arduino Of course.
A photodiode will indeed be a part of the receiver module. My problem is actually how to convert the data from the sensor to a serial format
The camera in not meant to be the part which converts the light signal into electrical signal. The camera is the sensor which produces the data I wish to transmit using the communication system. It could be any other kind of sensor (temperature, microphone etc)
