What arduino board works as keyboard for nintendo switch

dose anybody know what Arduino board that can

  • A act as a keyboard
  • have to be 5volt logit
    and
  • B work with the Nintendo switch

I have a Leonardo, micro, and due(3 volt logit)

I'm wanting to make a Arduino board read data from a HC-05 Bluetooth board that is reading keys from my phone app which is sending keyboard keys to my switch from my phone. I have already made the phone app and code (can modify for board if needed), but my Arduino board (Leonardo) dose not send the keys to my switch. i need a board that can send keyboard keys to my switch with out any modifications to my board

I used a pro micro as described below

Core libraries allow the 32u4 and SAMD based boards to appear as a native Mouse and/or Keyboard to a connected computer.

will this board work on my nintendo switch as a keyboard?

If a conventional keyboard works on a nintendo switch then the system I described should too.

is this the correct board on amazon?

Have you tried using the native USB port on the due?

no and I'm afraid that my HC-05 wont work on it since the due is 3v logit.

I Googled "HC-05 Bluetooth board io voltage" and those say 3.3v on the IO pins. Have you tested the pin voltages?

i have not tested the voltage of the HC-05 nor do i have the tools to do so

i will try the HC-05 on my due and switch, and see if it works i will let you know what it did

A cheap digital multi-meter at the minimum is highly recommended if you're going to do any electronics DIY. But good luck and let us know.

it did not type to my Nintendo switch but the Bluetooth (HC-05) works perfectly and it types to my pc well. any ideas on HID boards that can type to the Nintendo switch.

The link says not available however these seem to be

This would appear the 32U4 will interface to the HC05 with few issues.

and

Not specifically but please post the code you're using with the <code/> tag

by the look of your code you are using Serial1. is that the usb serial port of a secondary port maybe that serial is only active when usb is communicating. try to look into what serial ports do what on the board you are trying to use, thank you.

also the board you listed is a fake Pro Micro. if this is the board you are testing, i can see why your board doesn't work. you bought a fake board instead of a jejune Arduino pro micro board.

you wanted one from amazon? I didnt say I bought that one. I said it shows as available. However

do you mean this?

#include "Keyboard.h" //supports keyboard simulation io to pc

where did that come from? my system has been working fine for 4 years

would a RP2040 work for what I'm want to do?

It saves us time if you post a link. Why should I have to do the research?

sorry heres the link to the RP2040 board

How does / would the Leonardo (or whichever) "send" the keyboard codes to this Switch thing? Does the Switch thing have a USB jack which would ordinarily have a USB keyboard there?
