What happens once opta has CODESYS?

With finder's announcement of codesys on opta coming soon , does anyone know:

a) if there will be an upgrade path to use codesys on existing optas?

b) what the plan for development of the existing arduino/logic lab PLC IDE is? While I understand Arduino are working to fix some issues, I'm sure many users would agree that the development experience with Opta has been challenging.

For my use case, the Opta is no longer workable as it can't be programmed via ethernet since ide version 1.0.6.

There will be two types of Opta: one developed in collaboration with Arduino and the other with Codesys. The future is uncertain, but in my opinion, Arduino must adapt to meet industrial needs; otherwise, its relevance may decline. I hope they succeed in this adaptation, but I am concerned about their current trajectory.

This seems to be a strange approach. For me, the only reason I chose OPTA was the perfect combination of PLC industrial environment, IEC61131-3 programming language, and easy remote monitoring through Arduino Cloud. Now, if I look at the announcement, it seems Finder CODESYS is a different product, and Arduino LOGO is not shown anymore—this means we will not have access to benefits or the Arduino portal. I hope both partnerships will be developed in parallel, and Arduino will not lose interest in real PLCs.

Good questions.
I want to know the same.
I'd pay more for a CODESYS version or an upgrade.
This PLC IDE is okay but needs a lot of work before it is up there with CODESYS.

The Finder/Arduino partnership will continue. The PLC IDE needs improvement and is taking longer than anticipated. Our Codesys version will be slightly more for the license that is included (no upgrade path that i am aware of at this time for the Finder/Arduino collab). Codesys software should be updated by end of Jan to include Opta, hardware i belive is available end of Feb.
