What is the best way to solder a wire on a PCB?

As title.
I need to solder some wires on a PCB.

Those wires will connect some sensors to the PCB.

I can solder the wires to the PCB directly but once soldered the wires became "weak".
A small torsion can crack the wire with pond.

What is the suggested way to permanently and securely solder a wire on a PCB?

Thanks

Best way to secure wires to a board if soldering causes wires to stiffen too much and break is to use a connector that uses crimps.

A well know problem with lead-free solder and some times with leaded solder. The solution is, after soldering, add some RTV or epoxy to the wire insulation and stick it down onto the circuit board. The commercial solution is to use connectors.

Strain from bending is concentrated at the junction between the stiff solder joint and the rest of the wire, which quickly leads to breaks.

First, use fine stranded wire for such connections, then cover and support the wire next to the finished solder joint with hot glue or flexible sealer.

I like to solder some header pins (usually the right-angle type) to the PCB (stripboard in my case) and then solder the wires to the header pins.

For casual boards, i drill two holes about 5mm apart, feed the insulated wire through and back, then solder.
Strain relief and tight solder joint (assuming you can solder) !

Don't forget to mention the crimp tube around the solder joint. Otherwise the problem of breaking remains.

Nothing elaborate - just like this
