Hi,

I dont know the exact size of file, Am going to use for datalogging. For safer zone if i need 8GB . Whether UNO board this size?

I got a 8GB SD card detected and list all of the contents with the SDInfo example sketch.
So 8GB might not be a limit.

You might find that 2 Gb is a very big SD for datalogging.

Isn't that an answer that needed a few questions asked ?

Like....

How much data do you need to log ?
How frequently do you need to log the data ?
How much historical data do you want in the log ?

The size of the memory requirement is determined by all 3 parameters multiplied together.

And then, we are talking about logging data... If that data has any "value" it needs to be secured or it is pointless.

So the OP might need a much smaller local data-log, with a remote connection to a much more secure environment, e.g. SQL/Historian etc. The local data-log might only need to store 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month etc., of data so that big brother can capture it.

Indeed. But it's only bits of text, and 2Gb holds a hell of a lot of it. This to the point where those questions may hardly merit being asked, and the answer to OP's rather unspecific question is - "probably more than you need".
