How do I power this thing from the wall without something blowing up? I'm thinking about using an old v-tech wallwart with an output of 6v 400mA.

I buy a 10 foot USB Male to Male cable. USB A to USB B if you use UNO.
Cut in half for stand alone projects.
Buy one of these (5 volt out therefore no regulator necessary) :

Yes I was thinking about possibly powering it via a phone charger, but I'd prefer to use the materials I have. Since the Mini is rated up to 12v input I think 6v would be okay.Would 400mA be enough?

Could I power both the LCD and the RTC via the Arduino pins without issues?
