I found a bunch with gearboxes but I don't want a gearbox nor do I want to pay for the gearbox and just remove it. Do you know where I can find a small, 1800+ rpm, DC motor with built in encoder?

Not sure if these are helpful, but find scavenged inkjet printers, especially from Canon are a source of DC Motors with encoders, though the encoders are optical operating on a striped plastic disc on the shaft so not internal. Epson, by contrast, appear to prefer steppers in those roles.
I'm building a collection but haven't held onto the encoders so can't report on their usage, nor accuracy at those kinds of speeds, sorry.
