Where to buy best pack of assorted resistors asap?

Hey guys. I ordered a pack of resistors on eBay but it's going to take forever to here. I basically am looking for an assorted pack of resistors with all sorts of resistors I may need but Adafruit doesn't seem to sell such a kit. I need it to get here by next Friday. Does anyone know where I can pick on up? Thanks!

Where is 'here?'

Digikey
Mouser
Dipmicro
Taydaelectronics
RS
Farnell
Newark
etc.

I have found the mixed resistor packs not all that useful for digital electronics, too many values that are not useful.
They're okay if doing analog stuff with op amps where the higher resistance values are useful.
For digital, 220, 270, 1K, 10K, 100K, are about all you need.

I got them in two days with free shipping...,... but crossroads is right... I only the ones he listed.

Yep, I agree with Crossroads list, but would add 100, 330, 470, 560 and 4.7K.

100 just for a lower decade, 330 because I like slightly less bright LEDs for indicators, 470 and 560 for RGB LED balance, and 4.7K for a stiffer pullup/pulldown in noisy environments.

So your ebay purchase won't be a total waste!

If you're in the U.S., I bought an assortment from Jameco. I don't remember exactly which one, but probably the 540pc 1/8th Watt kit. And, I think it was the "refill" because although I have a couple of those cabinets, I don't have my resistors properly sorted in a cabinet. They are just in small labeled zip-lock bags. I already had most of the common values when I bought that, and it's probably a "lifetime supply" ...unless I end-up needing a bunch of a particular value for something.

Jameco ships fast (most reputable suppliers do). They are about 30 miles from where I live and if I ask them to ship via U.S. Mail, I get them the next day, or the 2nd day. Of course if you're willing to pay for it, you can next day shipping to anywhere in the continental USA.

If you in the UK then Maplin do this and this or you can just buy the values you need just now (at a price) to tide you over until the eBay ones arrive.

Another place that's good value for money is Resistor Kit [Discontinued] | The Pi Hut and posting should get you them by Friday (assuming mainland UK)

I've got both of the items suggested by Riva.
I must say that I now prefer the kit that comprises of the E3 series, for the reason that CrossRoads mentioned in reply #2.

Radio Shack has a basic assortment

I went the eBay route initially - terrible quality and they are still sitting in a bottom drawer.
Same quality issues with eBay capacitors.

I ended up buying better quality specific values locally.

My experience has been eBay is generally ok for modules, but not for components.
But don't expect much support from eBay sellers.
