Which boards do auto-reset when opening "Serial monitor" and which not?

I know UNO does and Leonardo didn't, but I don't know what is the behaviour of the others (by "others" I mean only the boards that nowadays appears in https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Products).

Thanks a lot!!

if you put a capacitor between ground and reset, you can prevent this behavior on all Arduino boards.

the mega, however, does reset without the capacitor

Anything that doesn't have usb on the chip does that - it's needed to program the chip (unless you want to have to hit reset while uploading - but you get a very narrow window for that, nobody likes doing it). But as noted above, it's easy to disable with a cap from reset to ground. 10uf is commonly used, but the exact value isn't critical.

The proper way to do it is to break the "Reset-En" link and solder the pins to it for an easily removable jumper - or a miniature pushbutton.

Would have been nice if they’d put holes to put pin header in there!

That does seem to be a blindingly obvious approach, doesn't it?

Ok, thanks a lot for your answers. Greatly appreciated!!!
