Which leg is which (Not as stupid a question as it might seem)

I have some TEPT4400 NPN phototransistors.
I wanted to confirm which leg was the Emitter and which the Collector. A google image search has me very confused:
I can find images of NPN transistors clearly showing both the long leg (here and here) and the short leg (here and here) as the Emitter.

The isometric projection on p4 of the data sheet suggests the Emitter is the long leg, but I'm still not confident.

Please can someone help shed some light on this (no pun intended), before I go completely mad?

ec
Emitter is long leg

Thanks.
That's what I thought, but thanks for confirming I was reading it correctly.

So ... why have I apparently found conflicting information about which leg is which when I do a Google image search for "phototransistor legs"?

Anybody and his brother can post anything on the internet (including this forum). Some are wrong, some are right. Always use the manufacturer's data sheets for the correct information on a part.

Fair enough.
