Why does Arduino 2.3.4 put libraries in my libraries?

Hi @m_aerospace. I'm not sure I understood correctly what you mean by this. Please provide a more detailed description of what you mean by this in a reply on this forum thread to help us to understand it, including:

  • What did you do?
  • What were the results you expected from doing that thing?
  • What were the results you observed that did not match your expectations?

Please provide a detailed explanation of what you mean by "my libraries".

I installed libraries as shown:

The left pane shows my libraries, however there is also a folder within it for libraries, the contents of which are on the right.
I was expecting one layer of libraries, not two.
The libraries in the second layer don't work if I move them to the containing layer.

What is the sketchbook directory under file / preferences in the IDE.

Does the library manager still show e.g. the Adafruit libraries as being installed?
