I uploaded wrong code (thanks to my stupidity) and now I need to upload the correct one and it gives me a classical error avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x31
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 2 of 10: not in sync: resp=0x31 and now i cant upload can someone give me some advice to how to fix it pls.
pls note I am using a arduino nano clone with a inbuilt rf module
Verify your USB cable is for DATA, and not just POWER ("system chime" on insert, Device Manager >> LPT&COM).
And... search for and install the CH341 driver for use with the communications IC on many clone Nanos. I do not know about the RF.
Test one step at a time. Report results.
No idea what you are talking about. Please post a link to that board so we can understand what we are working with.
First, I would follow @xfpd's suggestions especially if you are using Windoze.
I use Linux, and the only things I have found that normally cause that type of error are a bad USB cable or having the wrong bootloader selected.
have a look here Fake Arduino Nano Error
what MCU is on the board?
328p
I am using vs-code with platformio to program the board
have you selected the proper bootloader? (try the old bootloader as well)
if the MCU is 328PB then the old bootloader may work or not because some of the 328PB boards declare themselves as 328P
alternately you can try the MCU Dude's minicore
https://mcudude.github.io/TinyCore/package_MCUdude_TinyCore_index.json
changing bootloader did not help :-(
I see, you should try a simple "blink" sketch in Arduino IDE to figure out which core the board works with and take it from there.
Aliexpress clone nano-boards are all over the place in hardware specs.
now can you upload guy? and if you can upload how you do that
I was previously using Vs-code now used arduino ide and the MCU dude's minicore it helped and now i managed to upload thank you for all your help
