Wifi Repeater Replica ?

Hello Friends,

I have bought a wifi repeater from China (see pictures).

According to the MAC-Adress, this manufacturer is a finn based company called:

tecnomen oy
p.o. box 93
fin-02271 espoo

I bough this as a "no name" product from aliexpress.com.

My question to you is: Could it be, that the main chip is indeed from the Finnish company, and the board itself from a simple Chinese manufacturer ? In other words: could it be, that the Chinese manufacturer has bought the Chips from "tecnomen oy", and placed it on its boards ?

Okay, but what about the IC placed on the board ? Do you think, that the IC is a replica ?

China is well known for unsoldering circuits and using them again..... Defect or not... lots of buyers don't ask for refund.....

Maybe you intended to post this question on a different forum? This is the Arduino Forum. Your question does not seem to relate to Arduino or any Arduino compatible products. Probably no-one here can answer your questions. Ask an Arduino related question and you will find this a very helpful forum.

My question is: are these IC's replicas, or are did the Chines board manufacturer bought these IC's from the original manufacturer ?

In other words: can a Chinese manufacturer make replica IC's ?

Mainly yes, but other ICs are talked here too, so what is your problem man ? I suppose, that most of the topics here are non-arduino-based topics. What about ATiny ??? What about ESP32 ???? Please don't post anythink if you can't help. You are just wasting our times here, old man.

Do what I did. Set @hello_freinds to "Ignore" for 1 year (or forever if you prefer).

You chose to post under the section "Using Arduino" - so why did you choose that when you are not using an Arduino? Why are you surprised when people ask, "where's the Arduino?"
