Wrong resistors on LED strips

Hi, I've had RGB indirect lighting with LED strips in the living room for a while and it works great. Mixed colors set in HSV in OpenHAB, converted to RGB and controlled via MOSFETs are pretty spot on.

Now I am doing an installation in another room, and the new strips seem to have the wrong resistor at least on red. Full on is supercold, current through red is much lower and mixed colors don't match.

Unfortunately, Chinese sellers seem to be incapable of understanding the question "What resistor values are used on your strip?", so I need some group data: Have others experienced this problem? Is it common or would it be relatively safe to just order another batch somewhere else? Has someone recently ordered a white-PCB 5m 5050 RGB LED strip and got one with good colors and good glue and could point me to a source?
