Your Last Movie

It's summer and the pandemic and strikes movie drought seems to be subsiding. I'm a real fan of movies and movie theaters and maybe others are as well.

'Thelma': The title role played by a 96 year old actress and about not giving up just because you're not a kid anymore. Definitely a comedy.

'Fly Me to the Moon': Alternate history about the Apollo 11 mission and conspiracy theories. Scarlett Johansson and Woody Harrelson are excellent.

'Deadpool and Wolverine': Saw a screening of tis this afternoon and if you're a fan of the characters I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My my, you've been busy! :grinning:
I haven't seen most of those but 'Dark' was excellent.

I like movies too, the last I saw at a theatre were Oppenheimer and Barbie but two that stick in my mind that I watched on tv were Parasite and The Upside ( a remake of The Intouchables )

I like a twist in the ending and Parasite surely provides that.

I saw 'Parasite' in the theater. Bong Joon-ho js a good director. 'Snowpiercer' and 'The Host' are also good ones from him.

I saw that Snowpiercer was showing on Tubi and it piqued my interest, I might check that out.

I have to say that one movie I think is incredible even if it's a little ott is RRR, my wife and family think Im crazy lol, am I the only fan??

I watched Beetlejuice and let me start by saying this: I want more! They absolutely nailed it with this movie. It perfectly blended homage to the original with fresh characters, a new story, and a unique take on the beloved mischievous demon we all adore—Beetlejuice. This film was incredible! I wish I could experience it again for the first time because honestly, I never thought I'd see a new Beetlejuice movie in my lifetime. The cast was phenomenal, the direction flawless, the writing sharp, and the set design and costumes were spot on. And wow, the special effects? Absolutely amazing! Thank you, Tim Burton, for reviving my childhood and getting me hyped for Halloween!

'Saturday Night'
The 90 minutes leading up to the first episode of 'Saturday Night Live' in real time.

Season 1 Episode 1 'Saturday Night Live'

A new appreciation after seeing the movie.

The last, and most likely final movie I watched at a theater was Titanic when it was first released. I'm a germaphobe.

I watched The Shootist earlier today. Ron Howard is the linker between the Silver Screen stars of yesterday and today's stars. Who else can say today that Lauren Bacall cried on my shoulder?

I rode in a elevator with her in Australia but she was very happy at the time.

Let's not confuse on-set with reality. I'm sure Bacall cried on many shoulders in her lifetime.

Since we're there, I rode an elevator with Jerry Mathers during a March of Dimes PSA shoot. He was not a very happy camper. He looked as if he could have used a shoulder to cry on.

I ate a hot dog with Steven Spielberg and Goldie Hawn at the Original James Coney Island when they was in town shooting the Sugarland Express.

I gave Ron, Ed Harris and Bill Paxton a 10 minute tour of my facility while they were at NASA shooting Apollo 13. I was surprised they were genuinely interested in our activities.
