3.5" TFT Display on arduino due but need other 3.3v source

Hi all,

I am encountering issues when i connect a 3.5 inch tft display to my arduino due. the display fits on fine but i also need the 3.3v pin to power a bus rail for all the other components. note that all other components need a strict 3.3v. I am building this project off of a tutorial:

I have the exact same board and exact same display as the tutorial. in the video, he attached a pin to 3.3v then continues to put the display on which (i matched up all the pin) sits somehow on his 3.3v pin. is there some trick i am unaware of that lets you connect 2 pins to 1 pin? i thought this would be impossible since the display needs to sit flush but you never know. as an alternative i could connect the jumper wire to 5v and put a resistor between it and the bus rail but wanted to check if there was some other way first.

Appreciate all help!
