3 Pin 2 Position Toggle Switch

Hello to every one,
I would like to understand how to wire this kind of switch https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B077D9FRGL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
My purpose is just to switch on and switch off Arduino; is it possible with this kind of switch?
Thanks

If you check with your ohm-meter, you'll find that the centre pin is only ever connected to one of the outer pins. The outer pins will never connect to each other.

So break your wire and attach one side of the wire to the centre pin, and the other piece of wire to one outer pin.

It will probably be that when the lever is pointed away from the connected outer pin, it will be on.

edit: but always check such things with a meter

I think I'm not getting it.
If the center pin is the second one, do I have to wire like this?

Wait one, let me do a pic of what I mean...

The outer pins will never connect to each other.

Almost certainly true but there are exceptions. Best checked with a meter to avoid accidents

Is it possible to check without a meter?

Hehe yeah that's why I had immediately edited my post to say that.

Here's my pic of connection.

Great.

Now go buy a meter
