I have a remote that says 433mhz and I have a receiver that says 433.92 can I use the remote on the receiver
usually the 433.92MHz receiver are pretty crappy anyway so you might get lucky
and it could still pick up signals that are close in frequency, as there may be some overlap.
you need to have compatibility in the way it works as well, like ASK.
What’s the best frequency remote I should get that would work
for optimal performance and reliability, it's generally recommended to use a receiver that is specifically designed for the exact frequency of your remote control.
And the frequency is free and not used by others.
Maybe.
"433 MHz" is often a generic reference to the band, but typically 433 MHz Band devices actually are centered at 433.92 MHz. One would have to know the specifics of the transmitter and receiver to know if they are frequency matched.
In addition to the frequency of the device the the message transmission protocol must be matched between the transmitter and receiver, so again, one would need to know the specific devices to make any sensible statement about compatibility.
