Adafruit Music Maker Shield

Hello,
I wish to make a project which will use an Arduino Uno. By pressing one button it will randomly play one of two short (pre-recorded two word) audio files from an SD card (extension type YTBC) and output a 5V TTL pulse from one of the digital ports at the same time as the audio file occurs. I was thinking of using an Adafruit Music Maker Shield to accomplish this. Does anyone have any experience with these shields and if there are any things I should be aware of or if there are other devices on the market that might be better suited for my project such as Music Shield V2.2 from Seeed Studio for example.
Thank you.

The Music Maker VS1053 is a nice option I think you would be pleased with, here is another option at 1/3 the price that I have used several times for MP3 player/Internet Radio

Whichever you might choose the Arduino IDE has VS1053 library examples to get you up and running fairly quickly.
