An old programming adage… (oops!)

For a program to be easy for the user, makes it harder for the programmer.

And vice versa!

That is why they both share responsibility from start to finish.

I moved your topic to an appropriate forum category @lastchancename.

In the future, please take some time to pick the forum category that best suits the subject of your topic. There is an "About the _____ category" topic at the top of each category that explains its purpose.

This is an important part of responsible forum usage, as explained in the "How to get the best out of this forum" guide. The guide contains a lot of other useful information. Please read it.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

I did look for a category, but you found a better one !
It was tricky to categorise, as a generic nugget for discussion.

Rather fitting for ‘General Discussion’
Thanks

I agree. The choice of category is somewhat subjective and I am not concerned about categorization as long as the choice is at least somewhat reasonable (e.g., I would have no problem if you had chosen Programming Questions or Bar Sport).

However, your choice of the Uncategorized category was objectively inappropriate since it is clearly marked "DO NOT USE!"

So please, don't create topics in the Uncategorized category in the future.

A post was split to a new topic: Reject any attempt to create topics in "Uncategorized" category or remove category

Do you mean the UI or what else?

Most time and efforts have to be spent before coding starts. Mere programmers (coders) should be excluded from that project stage.

The same goes for the forum - the easier it is for the author to choose a category, the more difficult it is for the reader to find the message
