oh lord thats a lot

Add two wires more and you have star ground!

I used to make a custom flowmeter interface device that had a total of 26 I/Os. Since they were deploying a lot of these, to make replacement easier, my customer asked for a wire harness on a connector that could be disconnected quickly. And for ease of wiring in the field, they wanted every input to have its own ground conductor. So I had to make these 50 conductor wire harnesses with 18 wires all soldered together in one massive bundle to a single ground pin.

The harness was only 30" long but it weighed almost as much as the rest of the hardware. Wasn't fun making those things, but at least I charged enough to be worth it

I don't anymore...
I use Wago's.

Tom... :+1: :coffee: :australia:

They are handy little things.

Good lord… they have changed my life. One thing I haven’t switched over to yet, pushIN tension terminal blocks. I feel like once I do, it may have the same effect as Wago’s

They changed my life, too.... but... I must have been in the test run of these. They all sucked. None of the levers clamped on any size wire, solid or stranded. Most of the internal spades lifted and broke free. I threw all the bags in the bin, spent a week catching up on the backlog caused by wasting time with Wago. Glad to see they improved. I will never use one.

I see nothing wrong with this.
And no, I have never made an abomination. All my s#!t is top shelf. :joy:

better than a eldritch horror on your shelf

That's terrible. Red and yellow don't combine at all with the green of the Arduinos!

my arduinos are blue, are they supposed to be?

Ok, then it is fully in specs, according to the datasheet section: "Absolute Maximum Unfitting-colors Ratings"

No kidding! What the heck eh ??? I am still skeptical of them (old habits die hard) and only use on 14awg or smaller… anything bigger, i go the old fashioned proven ways.

yall use clamps and levers?
