First post here, and totally new to arduino - please bear with me.
I decided to build motorized macro focus stacking rig for my DSLR (something like this: Rylee Isitt Photography - Building a DIY Focus Stacking Controller with Arduino ; but I plan to program it myself). I ordered a bunch of components from ebay, including this "1602 LCD Board Keypad Shield Blue Backlight For Arduino":
My understanding is that it should be stackable with arduino UNO R3 boards.
It will take 4 weeks or more before I get the parts, and I'd really like to figure out what kind of enclosure I need, so I can order it now.
If anyone has this screen, and is using it on top of your arduino UNO R3: can you please tell me what is the total thickness of the combo? I spent a while looking for this info here and on the web, to no avail.
