Arduino follows human movement

Hello,

I'm trying to make an arduino project, which controls drone to follow human straight over a head, about 15 cm in distance.

I was looking for IR sensor. Is it good idea?

Has anybody done something like that or have a knowledge and can to share it? I'm looking for components and basic source code. Any sugestions would be very helpful!

It explains the issues involved and why this is a difficult problem. What else are you expecting? If you're hoping somebody will link you to an easy answer I think you're wasting your time because there isn't one.
