I'm new to Arduino, i have done some basic projects like laser alarm and temperature sensing.
If i upload the code, run it on Arduino for some time and then disconnect and reconnect it to my PC the Arduino doesn't get detected and i don't find any of its traces in the device manager ,
no USB connection tone is played on PC when i insert it the second time,
However if i connect it after 3-4 hours it gets connected properly and iam able to upload new programs again,
i tried changing the ATMega IC also but it yielded no result it still didnot show up on my PC.
Do I have a counterfeit product or is there anything wrong with my circuit designs or are there any protocols to shutdown the IC when you have high currents passing through it?
(b.t.w i always make sure that the current through the arduino remains below 50 mA )
I'll be grateful if someone helps me out.
What is your Arduino's model? Send us a photo. Did you try changing your USB cable? or plug another USB port?
I'm using Arduino Uno and i've tried changing the USB port (in pic - simple button controlled LED config)

b.t.w the uploaded code gets executed upon reconnection it but the arduino doesnt get detected on the PC.
Not a genuine UNO. But you can try changing your USB cable, try to Put your board into DFU mod see if it is work.
And a little advice, read "How to use this forum", I assume you did not read "How to use this forum" topic, because you did not give enough information, for example your board type, what have you tried so far, and we lost a lot of time.
Thanks for the reply ,i've tried putting the Arduino in the DFU mode but even then its not being detected as Arduino DFU as it should its not showing up on the Device manager (I've followed this tutorial ARDUINO- Upgrading USB FIRMWARE using FLIP - YouTube) .I've tried plugging it into a different computer also yet the same result,Can i savage anything out of this arduino board?
Atmel Atmega328 can be saved.
