Arduino PLC IDE

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the Arduino PLC IDE will be available on Linux as well?

Hello!
The PLC IDE is only available for Windows, but for Linux users it is still possible to make the PLC IDE run on a virtual machine with Windows installed.

Have a nice day!

Hi,
thanks for info.
So I will take that as the PLC IDE will not be available on Linux!
Running inside a VM is not really helpful.

I would be absolutely psyched if Arduino PLC IDE was cross platform. Especially because we are looking to replace over 30 Allen-Bradley CompactLogix PLCs and we’re looking at Portenta Machine Control among other options. A legit PLC IDE that competes with Studio 5000 is a great selling point, and one that works for Windows, MacOS, and Linux would actually make Arduino the first PLC IDE to offer that. Seimens, Automation Direct, Rockwell Automation, etc all Windows exclusive. Any plans for cross platform in the future? Or perhaps PLC in the cloud? Can we donate money to make this happen?
