Arduino Uno and evaluation board FDC1004QEVM

Hey Guys I hope you are doing well.

I am currently doing a project where I have etched and fabricated 4 MEMS gyroscopes and i have wire-bonded them successfully to a PCB

Now I have this Texas Instruments Evaluation Board

My aim is to have a whole configuration where I can connect my gyroscopes to a servo motor and extract the capacitance readout of their modes using the evaluation board.

Now the thing is that the evaluation board is USB to I2C so the USB port connects directly to a PC to power it up and its capacitance to digital converter is connected to the gyroscope PCB. For this to work I want my EVB to be wireless and I can't figure out what I can do to power it up wirelessly so that I can use an Arduino with a wifi module to get my data wirelessly.

Any help would be appreciated guys

You mean this:

Did you look at the schematics?

As a TI product, you'd be better asking on the TI Forum for details of their product:

So this:

The evaluation modules features a breakable PCB composed of three sections: a USB to I²C converter based on the MSP430F5528 microcontroller, the FDC1004, and two sensor electrodes to demonstrate the sensitivity of the FDC1004

So simply break off the part(s) you don't need?

So the only thing that I don't need is the sensor which I've already broken off. The capacitance to the digital converter is connected to my gyroscopes on one end and to the USB to I2C on another end. THe USB port of the USB to I2C is connected and powered up to a PC for data transfer (Capacitance readout from the gyroscopes.)

I need a way to power it up without or with the USB port but not with a PC so that i can wirelessly transmit the data to the PC

you said you also wanted to get rid of the USB-to-I2C - so that you could connect I2C to your arduino?

So, surely, the only part that you do want is the converter part?

So break off the USB part, too - and just use the converter?

So basically what you're saying is just power up the capacitance to a digital converter using an Arduino and then wirelessly transmit the data to my PC?

Sorry I'm a bit new to arduinos

I thought that's what you said you wanted?
