Arduino Uno: Programmer not Responding, stk500_recv()

Dear reader,

Since several days ago my Arduino Uno has been acting up weird.
Previously I was capable of successfully loading, for example, the blink program on my Arduino.
Right now the Arduino refuses to let me upload anything to it. After compiling the code the updating process takes ages and to my knowledge, this is because it tries it 10 times before giving up.
The following error report spits out.

Arduino: 1.8.5 (Windows 10), Board: "Arduino Nano, ATmega328P"

Sketch uses 1134 bytes (3%) of program storage space. Maximum is 30720 bytes.
Global variables use 9 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2039 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.

I have looked all over the place but could only find vague solutions with one person resolving it in a completely different way than another did.

As of my own knowledge, there is probably something going on with the programming chip on the Arduino. I might have blown it up whilst soldering one of my circuits. The circuit I was working on involved a 12v power source coming in and with 3 tip31c's controlling an led strip.

My question is if anyone has any idea what is going on or any idea how to solve it.

Even if I don't get this solved,
I still want to thank you for reading.

Luc,

Hi,

Even I am getting the same error, please help.

I got the same problem. Could not solve it. Then I installed arduino on a different computer (under windows 7) and I was able to download programs on two nano's, but not on two other ones. Probably because these were not original.
I think it has to do with the port driver, but I am not sure.
