Arduino Uno Wifi

I am trying the attached sketch udp client-server (client-test.ino) as a udp-server with the udpclient.c as a client

Hardware “Arduino Uno WiFI”

From the part of the client …

root@jb-home:~# ./udpclient 192.168.1.140 49150
Type a sentence to send to server: Hello there
You typed: Hello there

From the part of the server …

Attempting to connect to SSID: Lithinon
Connected to wifi
FirmWare Version: 1.0.0
SSID: Lithinon
IP Address: 192.168.1.140
signal strength (RSSI):-68 dBm
Starting connection to server…

I get no reply…any hint?

client-test.ino (2.68 KB)

udpclient.c (1.39 KB)

I get no reply…any hint?

Print a message AFTER the call to Udp.begin(). If that never returns, loop() will never begin.

the WiFi Link versions 1.0.x are full of bugs.

I did it already, but the problem is the same.

I made bug-fixes to WiFi Link firmware and library in my forks. Use it with my Uno WiFi Serial1 library.

I did it already, but the problem is the same.

You changed your code, but did not post the revisions.

You should get more serial output. You did not post that new output.

The problem is the same - you are it.

Hi Juraj

I try firmware download following GitHub - jandrassy/UnoWiFiDevEdSerial1: Implements Serial1 of Arduino Uno WiFi Developer Edition board to access the on-board ESP8266

but fail

in the attached screenshot you can find details

in the attached screenshot you can find details

did you let the Serial Monitor open? and remove the Hello println it disturbs the esptool.

and why do you install the AT firmware?

I see, the link to GitHub jumps up on the page. Follow “UNO WiFi with WiFi Link firmware” chapter.

Hi Juraj,

I select Arduino Uno WiFi board but the compilation gives

The problem is caused by selecting Tools > lwIP Variant > v1.4 Compile from source when you don't have the path to make in your PATH environment variable (likely not installed at all since you're on Windows). The problem will be solved if you select Tools > lwIP Variant > v1.4 Higher Bandwidth.
