Arduino vs Windows 10. Sometimes it work, sometimes it doesn't!

Hello,

I bought an Ardunino Starter Kit. Original from Arduino Store.

I'm using a notebook with Windows 10.

When I started, I couldn't connect the board to the computer: 'USB device not recognized'... I tried many tips suggested in the Forum. Nothing worked.

Then I tried a second computer, also with Windows 10. It worked :), but not for long :frowning: ... and start giving me the same 'USB device not recognized'. Very sad! :frowning:

Meanwhile, the first computer performed the Windows actualization... so, let's see what happens!? It worked !   ... but not for long... :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: and here we go again see what's going on. And, without doing anything, it worked  , and after a while, it doesn't work :frowning: , a in the next day, it worked  , and the same afternoon, it doesn't work :frowning: ... , and so on...

Very puzzling.

I would appreciate very much any enlightenment!

Before you ask me, during the 'working' periods I could programming and make fun things... quite sure the problem is with Windows 10.

Thank you

Guto

Are you by any chance using USB 3.0 ports ?
They are a major factor in issues with newer computers and Arduinos.

Win 10 also seems to carry its own issues too as you suggest.

Are you using the win 10 arduino APP or the proper install of IDE 1.8.1 ?
