Just be aware that those Pololu boards get hot when steppers are running continuously. I use them for driving a 3D printer and had to add heat sinks and a fan to stop them shutting down for over temperature protection.
I suspect that part of the cause of this is that my poor mechanicals are making my steppers work harder than is strictly necessary, but I'd still recommend a decent sized heatsink, especially as it's going to be in a somewhat enclosed environment under the table.
