That could be a fun project. I will assume it is a team effort. Have you done the brainstorming session to determine what to build. From that have you put together a requirements document stating what needs to be accomplished. After that you need to put together a schematic showing how to build it. How much time do you have to accomplish this. Also allow several days for debugging both code and hardware.
Before posting code read the forum guidelines and use the code tags, it will save days of effort on the part of a lot of people.
A great supplement that should be in your library is the Arduino Cookbook, if not ask the librarian to get it for you. It can also be found on line.
