Bluetooth Module not working when using battery

I'm building a prototype where 2 "ATMEGA328P U" need to communicate wirelessly. It's working on a breadboard (with power from PC) but not on my PCB with battery. Can anyone spot something wrong?
Step-down converter converts from 9V to 5V.
Specifically the Sparkfun Bluetooth Mate Gold is acting weird.

Like this...?

These batteries are not very good with most Arduino projects as they are often not able to provide sufficient current.

Yeah, exactly that type. Except I'm using a cheap version.
I was so focused on voltage I didn't even think of current. I'll look into it! Thanks.
