Button Connector Confusion

I'm new to the arduino scene. I was thinking about using an illuminated button on a future project of mine.

Something like: 16mm Illuminated Pushbutton - Red Momentary : ID 1439 : $1.50 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits

However looking at the preview, i do not know how i would connect the button to wires. I'm guessing i would need some sort of connector, but i'm not sure which.

Could someone point me in the right direction toward how to recognize what type of connector/etc would be required, and maybe a general guide on recognizing these things in general.

You can either solder directly to it, or the photo looks like they are using a Quick Disconnect.

The "quick disconnect" or "quick connect" normally gets crimped to the wire (with a crimping tool) or if it's not insulated (like the one in the SparkFun photo) you can solder it. Crimping is usually best, but if you don't have a crimping tool, soldering is better than attempting to crimp with a pair of pliers.

These things are very common and you can find them in auto parts stores or hardware/home improvement stores (as well as electronics suppliers).

The two most common sizes are 1/4 inch (which looks right for this switch) and .187 inch.
