read node_red signal

if node_red signal = high
motorspin() ;

if node_red signal = low
motorspin() :

void motorspin()
if node_red signal = high
motor = spin ;

if node_red signal = low
motor = stop ;

you mean like that ?

yes, all you need to do is write all the code to get the signal from code red
then write the code to put values on that signal
then write the code to use that value to turn the motor off and on.
