Can we loose the 4 pinned topics at the top of the forum?

Yes they have wonderfully good and important information. BUT so much time is spent telling EVERY new poster to go back and read them. I mean, NO ONE reads them. Its a complete shock when you see a first time poster actually post all their code in code tags.

Maybe we could put, across the green banner, "Post ALL your code IN CODE TAGS" and be done with it?

It's useful for these one-in-a-thousand users. Either they did read it or they have previous experience with forums.

By the way, I think I have actually never read them when I registered

well, they're a lot easier to tell people to go look at, when they are easy to find!

Do you want them loose or lose them?

Anyway, I've un-stickied the one about the browser cache. It should have expired by now.

Speaking as the boring sort of new user who does RTFM and even R the stickies at the top of forums I think they're useful. I rather like knowing how to make life easier for people who might be willing to help me.

If I'm going to wind people up I prefer do it because I'm feeling awkward rather just because I'm ignorant of what is expected.

I agree. When I join a new forum, I at least try to find if there are any obvious rules I should follow. If I have to hunt to find them, then they can't be all that important.

now you are one-in-a-million for (at least) two reasons.

Maybe if the cryptic icons (e.g. </>) were updated... or human readable, or shorten the time to hover to get the titles.... or add some more to the title...

Post a suggestion on their GitHub site. See what happens. You might be surprised!
