I have a working display from electric motorcycle... it was a batery gauge , speedmeter and odometer... backlight works fine and if 5v is applied over the pins in the display , some or all segments and icons gets illuminated....sometimes i have partial iluminated sections like in picture but nothing of its logic to drive is clear for me. i wonder if you could help with a sketch and explain connections to test if can make it work on new prpject...how to test commons and how many pins are common etc... when it was working fine looked like this:

No no forget the cables... forget motocycle... im not interested in original use im going to use in orher app but need to know how the display works... which are common pins and how many and sketch with "AC " square pulses to drive it.
Don't waste your time. Displays like that are custom designed for the purpose and you're not likely to get very far trying to figure them out. The chip driving them is likely a CPU that has built-in LCD drivers and not arduino-compatible.
If you want a similar display that can be used with arduino, you're better off getting a color TFT graphic display and recreating the appearance of this one.
To get answers like that you need to start with similar questions. Do you have the specs/schematic of the display subcomponent of the colorful display you intend to use?
