Looking at your numbers and your expected resolution the cost will be high. You want a range of 100 mm with a 0.1 mm resolution and I assume at least a 0.1 mm uncertainty (accuracy). In the past for a few precise distance measurements I used several Micro-Episolon products.
They are far from inexpensive and I suggest you speak with an applications engineer.

As it is for a single and personal use, I would like a reasonable cost ...
The displacement to be measured being less than the maximum offered (1 inch), I think this model can be satisfactory ... provided that it is properly interfaced with the ARDUINO card
Comme c'est pour un usage unique et personnel, je souhaiterai un coût raisonnable...
Le déplacement à mesurer étant inférieur au maxi proposé (1 pouce), je pense que ce modèle peut donner satisfaction... à condition de l'interfacer correctement avec la carte ARDUINO
