connectiong an Arrela® GY-521 MPU-6050 3 Axis Gyroscope

Just got this gyroscope but can't find any information how this is supposed to be connected to the arduino duemilanove.

The terminals in the gyroscope are

VCC =3v-5V power GND= ground SCL=? SDA=? XDA=? XCL=? ADO=? INT=?

Also if someone know about some sample code, please let me know.

Thanks

First hit in Google when searching for MPU-6050.

Thanks Riva,

I connected the MPU-6050 to the arduino duemilenove like this

MPU arduino

VCC 3v3 GND GND SCL analog in 5 SDA analog in 4 INT digital 2

uploaded the code "short example sketch" from the arduino forum http://playground.arduino.cc/Main/MPU-6050?action=sourceblock&num=1

but is not working.

What am I doing wrong?? Thanks

BTW webmaster. The link on the arduino.cc : To start with the MPU-6050, see the page of InvenSense: http://www.invensense.com/mems/gyro/mpu6050.html

is not working.

but is not working.

Define "not working".

Ok, Green LED on the mpu is on but don't see any changes in the serial port.

I don't know if this is the right thing for this problem but I saw something about I2C scanner. I uploaded this i2c scanner with the mpu connected to the arduino and get a "no i2c devices found"

Is that because the arduino can't read the mpu??

Thanks

If the I2C scanner reports “no devices found” either your connections are incorrect, or the device is dead.
You may need pullup resistors on SDA and SCL.

Pullup resistors? Can you explain? Tx

http://lmgtfy.com/?q=i2c+pullup+resistors

I connected 2 10K pullup resistor to the SDA and SCL like in this example

http://playground.arduino.cc/Main/I2CBi-directionalLevelShifter

still not signal. Any other sugestions?
