control iPhone with Arduino by mechanically pressing the touch screen.

hello,

my basic idea is to have a case for my iPhone, with a layer of antistatic conductive foam stood off of it about an half an inch. Then, I will have an array of linear actuators press down on the foam to simulate a press...

I know it's not the most practical thing, and the resolution of the presses would be great... but it still might be fun.

the thing is, linear actuators seem awfully expensive, and big...

is there something else I should be looking for instead?

Rather than 'linear actuator', search for 'push solenoid' ...

Hi,

Look at this.

Use a pointer to press on the screen, make the pointer a creepy finger.

that looks like I might get better resolution! thanks.

Use your finger?

or use a creepy finger made from 3 servos
