Do you mean the Elegoo?

One is an Arduino, the other is not.

Elengo or Elegoo?

@akshath221b
Look like another clone. Since the central processor is most likely the original AVR, in general, this board will not stand out in anything special.

Why do choose these board rather than original Mega?

They're 1/2 the cost, but still rising. Was getting offbrand, but 100% compatible, Mega 2560's for $15 USD, now is over $20. Arduino brand Mega's are heading to $50 a pop. Everytime I buy, the $$$ is up 25% on EVERYTHING!

Money (or lack thereof) is a factor for me. Clones make it feasible for some of us to get started.

As far as the OP's question, I think there is no functional difference between the real Arduino Mega and the Elegoo one. They appear to use the same processor chip, and build of the Elegoo seems pretty good to me. Other cheaper clones I've bought tend to be lesser quality, with misaligned/bent pins and components, and with the cheaper CH340 chip that gives some people headaches.
