I don't know if this forum is related to the discord but I think it is, a discord mod "Maderdash" banned me for making a game cheating device, in case you want to find the whole discussion it was in general help chat and the off topic chat has a few messages too it was a few minutes ago from the time i submitted this post. my username is "IHed" I was getting help on deciding on a usb native board for my sim setup that uses a arduino board (he banned me for making a game cheating device even though i was making a sim setup for car games you can find proof on the chat) now i got 2 people helping me then i mention stuff like hoodloader2 and ai (thats the stuff i used before i realized i needed a usb native board and i was just explaining my situation) then he started mocking me and giving me strikes because apparently i was asking for help for ai issues and hoodloader2 issues which i was not and i was only asking for board suggestions and he also said i got help several times (once he joined the conversation the other 2 people which you will find their names in the discussion during the time i posted this they also went on his side and started saying i got help several times even though i got help of a suggestion once then i explained that the board he suggested would might have problems and asked for maybe more suggestions) anyways he started also mocking about me saying ai and hoodloader2 and making jokes about me using ai (everything is on the chats: general help and off topic) i said to him politely no cussing or being mean or anything just polite that he was not helping and he should stop mocking me which then he kept giving me strikes then i got a ban for making a game cheating device??? i explained to him before that im making a SIM SETUP multiple times please check the chat for proof it was a few minutes before this post.

This forum has nothing to do with Discord, they are separate and different and attract different people. To the best of my knowledge no one here, and in particular no moderator here, is also active on Discord. Possibly @pert might also be on Discord as he represents Arduino, the rest of us, including me, are volunteers.
On a side note I suggest you investigate your keyboard and see if you can find things like commas and full stops, your solid block of unpunctuated text is very difficult to read.
There is some arduino team members i think that can help me im just trying to reach out to somebody thats on here that also controls the discord server theres some people i think @ptillisch that can maybe help me with my situation if there is nobody i think ill just delete the post but can it stay for just a little bit maybe the guy will notice this thank you for the response though

Hey sorry for the trouble but in the messages i sent in discord i said ai once and didnt mention it again i said it just to explain where i got the idea of a bootloader from.
He kept mentioning the ai which i said only once and kept mocking me.
Also by not go to that site do you mean the discord server or the ai website? I didn't mention any ai website i just said ai in my messages and if you did mean the discord server, im already banned but i wanna get unbanned hopefully and i just want someone to talk with the mod to make him stop im sorry that using the word ai once to explain something can get you banned.

Yeah and the worst thing is im trying my best to be as polite as possible with him and not say anything mean or bad he just kept mocking me for "ai" and "making cheating device" even though i said multiple times im making a car sim setup
If a mod from Discord came here telling the mods here to behave differently to how we do then do you think we'd take any notice?

You have mentioned AI and creating projects that are or might be illegal, neither are liked here, both will result in members telling you they are reluctant to help you, but you are unlikely to get banned for those things alone.

Oh being polite with that mod isnt something i did the moment he started to be rude... Cause you know, dont insult me i wont insult you.
Oh and i'm still banned... That Discord server is dead to me. We need a new one...
Yes i understand that fully but i got banned and making a sim setup which is just pedals and a wheel isnt illegal though i said ai once and didnt mention it again also when i did mention it it wasnt like i got all my code from it just a popular bootloader suggestion

Now heres the thing if i just leave this problem and not deal with it then someone else is gonna have to experience it and it goes on,
I wanna stop it fully not delay it i don't think having a mod not following rules and abusing power is something to be left as normal

You are drinking poison (unkind discord) hoping the other person will be effected. You have the power to stop it, by not visiting discord.
Id rather stop it here now and not let someone else experience that im fine with doing some work to fix a problem

I don't have any involvement in the management of the Arduino Discord server. The people at Arduino involved with the Discord server are a completely separate team.
I do have a personal Discord account, but I have only ever used the site a few times.
Hey just a question seeing you are a mod i think, do you know any anybody that runs the discord part thats also on here?
