Estou montando um relógio digital com display de 7 segmentos com leds. Cada display terá o tamanho de 1 folha se sulfite A4. Realmente será grande.
Gostaria de saber se eu usar o Uln2003 ou outro da mesma família como drive atende as características da multiplexação das saídas do Arduino ou se há circuitos ou transistores que atendam melhor?

Another possibility could be TPIC6B595. This chip will save you many Arduino pins. The chip is like a 75HC595 shift register combined with a ULN2803. I used these chips to make a large 7-seg clock display once.
But the easiest way I found was to use ws2812 strips, for example 6 or 9 or 12 LEDs per segment. The whole display can be connected as a single strip to one Arduino pin and no extra chips or transistors are needed. Also you can make cool animated effects on the display if you want.
