Hello all,

I am having trouble getting the USB driver for the Arduino Uno to install and/or operate properly. When I initially connected the Arduino the driver seems to start installing, however I would get an error stating that the installation had failed and asking if I have a CD to install software with. I tried following the directions to troubleshoot the problem by finding the "port" within the control panel and manually searching for the driver, but I could not find either (screenshot attached). I am not sure what to do next.

When you go to the properties of the device, what does it say about the device's status?

Also, can you upload a copy of you setupapi.dev log file?

To be honest, I am not sure where to find the information that you are asking me for. The arduino does not show up in the control panel which would be the place I would think to look for device properties.

I look in the program files for the file that you asked for, but did not find it there. Though it's certainly possible I didn't look at the right place.
