hello so i have being trying to read emg signals using arduino but im getting random values i tweked abit but still no use im still learning so it would be nice to get little guidance thank you ( i followed this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FsTPQY1bJw&t=261s )
Perhaps your random values are correct. Who knows.
i dont think so, even when my sensor is not moving im still getting those i mean if im not moving it shouldn't it be constant
Is your heart pumping blood? That causes movement in you muscles.
yeah i think that makes sense but the values im getting are like 1230 or 400 0r 0 sometimes i dont think pumping blood would cause such huge jump
Seems like a good time for you to show a diagram of all part of your project and how they are all wired together. What EMG sensor are you using? Do you have any lights around other than incandescent lights? They may be causing problems. Are the values repetitive so you can see a pattern over time?
when im covering the potentiometer its giving max value of 1023 and when i remove it becomes random again these are the values when electrodes are not attached as per the above video the value is 1023 when electrodes are not attached
Does that give you the clue that the wires are acting like antennas! Are all the grounds securely attached to the Arduino ground? Where is the power for your project coming from? When electrodes are not attached, they need to be shorted together.
