Esp32-s3 and 5v lcd

Hello, I have my first ESP32–S3 project. I am using an LCD screen that is 5V. I have a 5V power supply. Can I hook my 5V power supply to the VIN on the Esp32 and to the VIN of the LCD? Everything else will be running at 3.3 V, including the pins for the LCD screen will this be work without hurting the Esp32? My other option would be to supply the Esp32 with a usb and power the lcd with the 5v out.

Generally speaking:

  1. A 5v LCD screen must be powered at 5v or nothing appears on the screen.
  2. A logic level shifter is required when connecting ESP32 3v3 gpio pins to a 5v device.

Depending on the LCD and connection type there may be some other options which could involve moving pullup resistors or similar.
