Extra pins in AS608 fingerprint sensor

Hello everyone! So my project involves an AS608 fingerprint sensor, which I've bought. So I checked the cables coming out of the port and checked the tutorials. Most of them used only the VIN (5V), TX, RX and GND pins, and I know that the TOUCH pin works as a capacitive input, which my ESP32 involved in the project has support for. Also I know the VA pin is 3.3V IN.

Now I see that the port has two extra pins labeled D+ and D-, which I am not sure what are those about, or how to use it. I suspect they are power for the LED inside or something like that. Although the cable normally doesn't come with cables from them, I wonder if they are useful for certain cases, and what its usage would be.

Any insight would be appreciated. I'll include an image that I found in a tutorial by Electropeak. Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure it's just normal digital output.

I expect D+ and D- are data lines for USB connection.
