It is too bad this forum doesn't allow the upload of images from our own hard drives.
I think you need a hosting site to actually embed the photo with your text but you can attach a photo from your hard drive if it is small enough. Use the [Reply] button instead of the 'Quick Reply' window to add an attachment.

Scroll all the way down to the end of Paul's link to see a photo of the 'blobs'.
On the LCD modules each blob contains an IC (in rare cases there may be two per blob). The one that is slightly larger (on the right in the photo mentioned above) contains the HD44780U or equivalent controller which contains the memory, handles all of the processing, and deals with the display of 16 characters. Each additional blob or blobs contains an HD44100 or equivalent auxiliary controller and each one of those deals with the display of another 16 characters.

It is a bit of a 'bodge', but the way I do it, is add attachment, upload the photo, copy the link of the new photo, edit the post, and insert image using the link you copied. like this :-

You are still not getting it.
There were no "blobs" to see in Paul's first reply which you claimed to have answered the OP's post and negated the need for mine.
No attachments. No "blobs". No nothing.

This forum is totally backwards with the inability to embed a graphics file.
You are still not getting it.
I'm sorry if I misinterpreted the phrase "what are blobs" which is what you asked, for "where are the blobs" which is what you are now implying.
Anyway - anyone reading this should now know what the blobs are. We still have not figured out why some of us can see them in the original post and others cannot. According to MAS3 (reply #8) it may have to do with whether or not you are logged into a Google account.

I'm using firefox.
I right-clicked the void in the 1st. post, where the pictures are supposed to be, and from the drop down menu i clicked view image (or whatever it translates to in English).
That is supposed to open the image in an otherwise empty page.
Instead you will see a google log-in screen.
That's why i posted my comments.
Possibly the OP didn't share the images to everyone or shielded it in some other way, i don't know how things work with google personal image/storage stuff.

Except - that it is deliberately broken!
For some inane reason, purportedly related to spam, the forum is set to obfuscate the links to such uploads, making them various degrees from merely very inconvenient, to completely unusable depending on the configuration of the browser and OS.
Discussed in detail previously, with of course, no resolution.
As to the here-today-and-gone-tomorrow images, well, just a lesson not to trust Google. 
Use it if it works, go elsewhere if it doesn't. (It is of course, not the only troublesome hosting site, nor the worst!)
