G4 SMS text messages

Apologies if this subject has already been addressed, but I'm looking to send and receive text messages, ideally from an Arduino UNO R3, with a GSM module or similar and it seems as if only 2G modules are available at a reasonable price, and 2G is mostly no longer operating in the UK.

I'd consider a WiFi approach, sending and receiving WhatsApp messages - with an WiFi enabled Arduino type processor if that's an option. Essentially, I'm hoping for something inexpensive and simple to set up.

Any suggestions?

Please indicate what is "reasonable price" for you?
There are some 3G/4G GSM modules available on the Ali, the first example is SIM7600

Thanks, the SIM7600 looks like a good solution and there are suppliers in the UK - I've been burned before by buying cheap on Ali so am a bit reluctant to follow the cheapest offer.

I was also hoping there would be some kind of web based messaging approach given that a number of development boards include WiFi?
